Clinical Supervision
At PossAbilities we offer clinical supervision to qualified therapists from a range of modalities working with adults, children and youth. Supervisees will benefit from the specialist areas that we developed over many decades.
💙PossAbilities specialises in Child and Youth Therapy. We support therapists wanting to explore the use of play-based therapy methods and how to incorporate support for parents and carers in their practice.
💙Trauma work is a specialism for PossAbilities Network supervisors, including childhood / developmental trauma and trauma linked to the Northern Irish conflict.
💙Using feedback tools in a collaborative way to increase client engagement is a further area that therapists may wish to explore in their supervision with us.
💙Using creative methods in supervision can really boost your learning experience, expanding insight and enhancing reflective practice. As well as a talk-based approach, PossAbilities supervisors offer sand tray, art, music and play with metaphor as alternative ways to unlock new perspectives on client work.
At PossAbilities our clinical supervision is underpinned by Proctor’s Normative, Formative, Restorative model. This ensures that we focus on all aspects of a therapist’s learning and development needs: standards, ethics and quality assurance (Normative), knowledge, skills and learning (Formative), wellbeing, self-care and the personal impact of practice (Restorative).
We can offer supervision sessions online via a safe platform (Zoom) or in-person at the PossAbilities Network Centre.

Live Therapeutic Skills Workshops
We all need ways to refresh our practice tool-kit and maintain a lively dynamic in our work. PossAbilities skills workshops will help you do just that! Whether in person or online, the PossAbilities team will share tried-and-tested tools that will enhance your rapport and effectiveness with child, youth and adult clients.
These interactive events will help therapists and other helping professionals elevate the creative in their therapeutic practices.
The PossAbilities team is currently developing an imaginative range of half and full-day workshops. Some will be delivered in-person with others online via Zoom.

Self-Directed Learning and Practice Tools
At PossAbilities we are developing an exciting range of short, pre-recorded learning sessions that will allow you to access CPD at a time that suits you. Proposed topics include the 'nuts and bolts' of private / independent practice, risk assessment, creative practice tools for the key 'touch points' in a therapy intervention, assessment, contract, review and evaluation.
